Waking up on 26th December 2004 was to silently witness the killer underwater earthquakes epicentered at Sumatra, near Indonesian islands. It also was followed by a chain of TSunami Tidal hits in the different countries of South East Asia. India  (Andaman & Nicobar), Srilanka were the worst hit amongst the countries that TSunami visited on the ill-fated day. Lets take a couple of minutes to observe silence and pray to the Lord Almighty to give strength to the survivors of TSunami tragedy. Today is Gandhi Jayanthi -- Mahatma Gandhiji's birth anniversary. Without this great soul, who is appreciated throughout India as Father of the Nation, India would have not tasted the fruits of Independence. Lets take a minute to remember Mahatma Gandhiji and get his wishes.

First Day at ITPL After a long sojourn with small organizations in Chennai which are just dictated by a few autocratic middle managers, today I am joining an organization in Bangalore. Perhaps the first day in the cool garden city. The climate is cool but the internal tensions and anxiety from the hearts besides the butterflies in the stomach making to feel the climate as hot. Trip to Bangalore I am on my life to Bangalore. I would most probably accept an offer out there sometime. To start with I amHSR Layout, Koramangala with my friend, Madhu Kartha and his brother. Dental Problem Uh! Ah! Ouch! Two weeks this was the melody my mouth was singing. I had been suffering from a toothache. I was afraid to go to a dentist, since he would be using a sharp forceps and knives. Is'nt it? But the ailment should be addressed anyway right -- sooner or later. Then today, I went to AlwarThiruNagar to meet my dentist (Balagopal). He actually suggested R oot C anal T reatment. There also, I played some joke by getting nervous which made the doctor to become tense and started to bark there. :) :)

Just completed the Housewarming of the new house and getting settled last month. Since Deepak is quite out of station to Bangalore, perhaps coming week, we would scan the photographs and put in our personal website. Stay tuned! Tata!

Home Registration Complete The home purchase, whose process, I had initiated sometime back in January - Februrary, right after my trip to Sabarimala is complete and today the registration was complete and all the documents safely landed to my banker. It was bit hectic day, taking a day off from work, jumping back and forth between Virugambakkam and Tambaram where the registration office is located. Of course, I admit that it is a pleasurable pain.

I was bit busy and am too, this week. I had to take my Driving Test @Chennai RTO and get my License, which I got just today evening. Perhaps my flat purchase is still going with some bit of negotiations. This and more, I would update in this blog shortly.

Life at C S Software (11-August-2001 to 04-04-2004) Oh Well! After a long long tenure at this company called C S Software Solutions , it is time that I bid adieu to you. There were'nt any single point reason though. It was a multi-faceted reason. My joining in C S Software itself was accidental. An out-of-process recruitment. It was purely out of mercy that Francis Xavier, the then HR strongly talked and recommended to Srinivas (CEO) to pull me aboard. It was a pleasurable accident since in that period of 2001, I was suffering because of closing down shutters of my old company ( Chrysolite Enterprises P Ltd ) due to IT Wreckage or IT Slowdown in 2001. One fine day in 10th July 2001, I got a call from Francis. "We are a MNC in Chennai. We actually need some body who can train our guys in ASP for a couple of days." Oh! Man! After a bit of software experience, the situation has become so worse, to take up training works!? But I silently ignored it. Francis was strong on that...

March 8 is celebrated worldwide as International Women's Day . The month of Karthigai   and Margazhi are supposedly causing the entire Indian atmosphere to vibrate with more incessant spells of God, Devotion, Classic Music etc. The significance of Sabarimala Ayyappa 30-40 day observations are also not an uncommon feature. I had an opportunity to start this 30-day observation for Lord Ayyappa and I am planning to start to Sabarimala Pilgrimage sometime by December 22, with the blessings of the Lord. There are observations to follow and strict regulations to abide by. With the blessings of the Lord, I hope, all this would be feasible.

Off to Bangalore for a couple of days I am off to Bangalore for a couple of days, Friday and Saturday, to attend the MVP Meet. Easy To Use Package and Deployment SystemsElegant Package and Deployment of applications has been the concern of people for long time. With the advent of Visual Studio, there was an easy 'Package and Deployment Wizard' with Microsoft Visual Basic. Then with Visual Studio .NET, there came, 'Setup and Deployment Wizard' project, which makes Package and Deployment a breeze. But whilst searching in Google, I just came across this simple tool called NSIS -- NullSoft Scriptable Installation System, available from http://nsis.sourceforge.net/site/index.php?id=2&amp;backPID=2&amp;tt_news=4 Well! This comes under Open Source license. The beauty is an EXEcutable is made by simply writing a script file, which is so simple like our Windows/DOS batch files or Unix Shell Scripts. It is Diwali on 24th. The most celebrated festival through out India. It falls on the Amavasya day of the Hindu month of Ashwini (October-November).  The festival is celebrated with a diversified set of rich historic reasons that are being attributed to it. There is saying that slaying of the wicked demon king of Narakasura is one such reason. In Northern Parts of India, it is being celebrated as a return of Lord Sri Rama after his two seven (14) year exile period.  Perhaps, towards Dussehra, Northern Parts of India celebrate a Ram Leela, which signifies burning of effigies of Kumbakarn, Indrajit and  Ravan, in that order For us, a Diwali means a lot of fun and new inspirations and new goals rejuvenated for our lives. Sweets, New Clothes, Meeting and Get-To-Gether with Friends and Relatives.
