Telecom Giant into Life Insurance Market

India's premiere telecom giant, Bharti Airtel is slowly stepping into Insurance domain too. I think it would be a bit of new domain adventure for them. With niche concepts and innovations in telecommunications industry, empowered by a resilent communication backbone they are premiere telephone operators in India.

We need to wait and see thier performance in thier new avtar as an Insurance company. Bharti Axa is actually a joint venture insurance company between Bharti (74%) and AXA Asia Pacific Holdings (24%); the head office in India being located at Mumbai.

Let us anyway wish them good luck in their new venture. For details regarding the policies, you can SMS them 'BALIFE' at 6767. I think this SMS would be chargeable at 3 INR per message. I saw this number in a giant hoarding near Guindy Kathipara, while waiting to cross the segment in the routine traffic jam.
