Widespread Child Labor in Chennai
Government of Tamil Nadu seems to have staunch helplines to curb child labor in any form. But the state capital itself demonstrates the distressful image of tender tiny tots being deployed as sales and marketing agents in its majestic streets. Thanks to Dinamalar for bringing out this social stigma to the limelight.
When I was trying to view http://www.tnchildlabour.tn.gov.in/ so that if this could be brought to their attention there was another horror awaiting at that end. The website itself is suffering a downtime. See both the images in the slideshow below.
