Of late there has been quite a high cry from various people in the industry debating the pros and cons of Moonlighting. Of those who are not aware, Moonlighting means taking a second employment as part of primary employment. I honestly feel that as long as the following are satisfied people should not overly bother about it.   Necessary IPR protection practices in place Employees are not treated like scapegoats to spend more than 9 hours on flimsy concerns due to incompetency of project managers who in their zeal to appear the customers promise them moon and then fleece their reportees.   When corporates feel it is their prerogative to decide who and when to give approvals and also reserve the right to Fire and Forget their employees an equally competent rights and protection for the workforce through an appropriate Moonlight or whatever equivalent should be made available.  In these days of exponentially increasing costs of living and inflationary trends ...

It has been close to 11 months since my blog witnessed an authoring activity. COVID19, I wouldn’t call it as another excuse but the conflicts in #Todolist were also equal parameters to contribute to the same. Thanks to the fix in OLW bug just got an opportunity to author a couple of quick posts here .

Authoring a blog using directly Web Browser connected to the website is a thing of the past. These days as we are more mobile and at times when there is lack of connectivity options in terms of infrastructure and/or even time, tools like OLW really helps in. OLW is actually a fork of Windows Live Writer which had been discontinued by Microsoft a few years ago for reasons best known to them. Also OLW had issues with the new version of Google Authentication. Fortunately they have fixed up all the issues to get bloggers up and running with ease. And here comes this test post through OLW…

The state of #TamilNadu witnessed the most uncivilized gesture from a civic professional (aka) IAS who had been occupying the most privileged position as Municipality Commissioner in the industrial town of Vaniyambadi in Vellore district. Mr. Cecil Thomas was reported in viral media on social platform as being on a ransacking spree in the market damaging public property, overturning sellers cart, throwing vegetables, fruits etc to road. The justification provided later by the official on grounds of suo moto action of SHRC shown in the various reports like he got stressed out advising the traders not to make the town like another Koyambedu market in COVID19 landscape. However this justification does not seem to be valid but just shows up as a gesture to escape from the disciplinary action. It is an unfortunate fact that wherever you go in Tamil Nadu service providers are reluctant to accept Digital Payments and try to discourage by adding exorbitant charges. They always prefer liquid cash often without receipts to ensure they are not liable for any defective product or service from them whatsoever. And whatever services you try to get from law enforcement does not get a proper receipts too. 90 percent of the time we end up bargaining and then compromise on liquid cash being exchanged. Involuntarily public citizens are being forced to be part of the graft framework that these unscrupulous people have setup over the years.

Sholinganallur Toll Plaza was inaugurated with much fan fare a few years ago to augment the highways department revenue towards maintenance of road in the city's IT Corridor. However as days went by it is only near these tolls the roads are wider. Even a few furlong before and after the road shrinks in its width besides the fact the condition of the road remains battered like crazy. Adding to the chaos, the signboard regarding Zero Ticket in Sholinganallur Toll Plaza was found in a tattered condition. I am definitely sure that the collections would be in crores even per day but they have not bothered to fix this signage at all. Aren't there one supervisory folk in this toll plaza who watches these issues in the surroundings?

Of late citing reduced earnings, the transport undertaking of Government of Tamil Nadu operating in Chennai (Metropolitan Transport Corporation) has been steadfast in taking active measures in curtailing a lot of services causing much discomfort to the passengers. At times even a 30 KM stretch is serviced by a single bus (both up and down) something similar to remote villages. We have raised this issue with MTC for a few services and would like to summarize their responses for the benefit of everyone. After today's announcements by Shri. Mukesh Ambani, it is clear that Jio has extended its free offerings till March 31 2017. What initially started before 5 September 2016 was Jio Preview Offer. Islam has the best code of conduct with an emphasis for five times prayer to the Lord. I have been aspiring to emulate this from time long. Today I have enhanced my chanting utility towards the same.
