Happy Pongal/Makara SankaranthiWish you all a very happy Pongal or Makara Sankaranthi as it is called by different names in different sections of India. There is a rich story behind Pongal or Makara Sankaranthi. Perhaps the article on HinduNet, which I came across recently would be a nice fitting one to explain the same:
