Today, being the start of month of Karthikai and also signifies an importance for the starting of Ayyappa 40-day vratham. I was planning to get to a temple in my vicinity but due to time constraints, needed to travel to Nungambakkam and had the Mala sworn in from Mahalingapuram temple.
