Let Us keep Sabarimala and Pampa Clean :: Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa

Let Us keep Sabarimala and Pampa Clean :: Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa

Starting with November 16, the Sabarimala temple witnesses the start of Mandala Pooja which runs upto December 26. They allow a four day gap and then January 1, 2008 will see the start of Makara Jyothi till the Makara Sankranthi sometime around January 15, 2008. I am sure, a lot of most interested Ayyappa devotees would be planning to start the Ayyappa Vratham even during this month itself. Towards this, I just thought of putting a few ground rules that would please the God very much invoking His most choicest of showers of blessings to one and all.

  1. Ayyappa (48-day) Observation -- Rules and Restrictions
  2. Neyyabhishekam -- The Significance

I would also like to draw the attention of readers to the dire need of keeping the temple areas clean and not to indulge in littering and dirtying the surroundings. Cleanliness is next to Godliness. Let us try and achieve the extent of cleanliness that is possible from our physical and mental means as far as possible. Towards this, I would like to share an Orkut Community discussion on "Let us all keep Sabarimala and Pampa clean". Perhaps for those interested and having quite a lot of doubts on Sri Ayyappa Vratham and seeking clarifications, you may also consider joining in Sri Ayyappan YahooGroups, where a lot of Ayyappa devotees try and clarify the doubts of millions of devotees quite fast and clearly.
