A small handheld device, almost even comes to the tune of a cellphone size, which emits low-level radio frequency signals, causing the mobile phones in the preset radius area to be inoperable.

It is really a happy update. The past two weeks, when I travelled to Tiruvallikeni Parthasarathy temple, I observed that the signal in my mobile dips anywhere inside the temple.

I was curious on why was that? When I checked with the temple office, they confirmed my doubt that they have installed mobile jammers at important locations of the temple.

I think other people like hospitals, colleges also should take up a similar stand and block off mobile phones in their premises to let others continue on their visit peacefully.
