Self Defense Programs in Sun TV

Self Defense Programs in Sun TV

Yesterday I was starting a bit late to the office and since the television was switched on and in the Sun TV, it was Vanakkam Tamizhagam programme that was being telecasted. It is really good that they have good programmes in the morning. Two of the programmes that very much attracted my attention were:

  1. Indha Naal Iniya Naal (I guess that this was 'Indru Oru Thagaval' in All India Radio sometime back) by Then Kachi Ko Swaminathan.
  2. Tharkappu Kalai (Self Defense) -- Typically about Kobudo art of self defense
I personally feel that the Self defense programme that is being telecasted by Sun TV is really an excellent programme, anchored by Kobudu Krishnamurthy. I would try get the details of the institute and share with my readers. Typically, as the programme anchor explains that this is targetted for women who face innumerable difficulties outside from antisocials like robbers and eve teasers. So next time in the morning when you are free, keep your television box switched on and tune to Sun TV. The programmes come at 0830 to 0855 AM Indian Standard Time.

It has been long time since (almost 1 year) i stopped watching TV in the morning. Not that I'm busy..its exact opposite - nowadays i get up late :). While being at college I cross the living room every 5 mins from 7 to 8 AM pushing hard everyday to catch the bus on right time. It is inevitable to avoid watching the TV at those times as my father would anyway be watching it.

Well, the point is, when it comes to morning programs Jaya TV absolutely rocks :). Their range of programs were too good. 'Vaazhum Kalai' with Yogas and breathing exercises, a carnatic tutoring series by Neyveli Santhanagopalan (i forgot the program name), a news bit on the Morning News titled 'Kaala chuvadi' or something (this day that year type). Apart from this special 'Maargazhi Mahotsavam' series on Maargazhi month. The 'Suprabaadham', 'Tirupathi Brahmotsavam'.. we can add an endless list. I guess certainly they will be continuing till date, and if at all if u have missed before sample it from tomo. No bias here, they are unbeatable at mornings :)

@Srini,

Thank you for sharing your views on the morning television programmes that rejuvenate the user. Indeed Jaya TV really airs excellent divine programmes even from the wee hours.

When you switch on the TV at 5:45 AM to 6 AM, you have Arul Neram and some temples are also shown. Even the anchor of the program has a very enthralling and commanding tone ("Sri Kavi").

BTW, do you get 'TCP Channel' in Nanganallur (It is a local cable channel for Tambaram, Chrompet and Pallavaram). Every saturday they air programmes on various Sri Vaishnava Divyadesams.
