Ithellam Doopu.! Nanban Thaan Toppu!!

Ithellam Doopu.! Nanban Thaan Toppu!!

The friendship day is internationally observed on the first Sunday of August or August 3 whichever comes earlier. Just thought let us greet one another a Happy Friendship Day on this occasion. And I just I would share the hilarity-cum-awesome song 'Ithellam Dupe' from the amazing fim 'Kandasamy' (starring Seeyon Vikram and Shriya Sharan)

Yet another pathetic lift of American culture by Indians. Its really sad to see western culture being imbibed by Indians with half baked / less /no knowledge. I am surprised to see such stupid sentiments getting popular day-by-day, hour-after-hour in india, where our culture has evolved and survived across unimaginable and tough times.

I vaguely remember the story line of an old tamil movie (Thookku thooki –

Go to Job, Get Fat cash Father will be happy
Either you get money or not mother will feed you (finally she will succumbs to her husband’s norms).
Gift your sister to earn respect/relationship from her
Friend A life Saver
Your Wife will kill you if she gets caught red-handed!

The image of Father, mother, sister and wife’s relation is completely tarnished, and this being used as the “THE QUOTE” for the “Stupid Sentimental – Friendship Day”. I really don’t understand why we need a special day to share our joy with our friends. Aren’t we doing it daily? Its just waste of money and time and nothing more.

If this is the case, then we will not have one day in the calendar left empty. No wonder years to come, we may even land up with brother’s day, sister’s day, your day, my day, cousin’s day, Second cousins third brother’s wife’s third cousins day and so on. I am not sure if all these are already there and started by an in-sane idiot.

I have already blogged about this in http://it-all-happens.blogspot.com/2010/05/why-mothers-day.html

In other words, Be good, Do no harm to others .It will make you a great human being

Cheers
