Around 16th of this month the month of Margazhi starts. The month of Margazhi is considered holy for both Saivites and Vaishnavites. It is mostly a musical month with all sabhas busy with various musical concerts and programs. The former chant Thiruvembavai and the latter Thiruppavai. There is a saying from the Lord as claimed from Bhagavad Gita “மாதங்களில் நான் மார்கழி”.
I just thought I would share a small video which I prepared with the help of Thiruppavai Gosti chanting along with the lyrics.
Interestingly whilst Margazhi starts on 16th December 2010, we are kickstarting the Margazhi Celebrations on 4th December 2010 (4 being the square root of 16)
