The True and Eternal Lavanya…

Sholinghur

Yesterday whilst surfing around the Internet I came across http://www.sholinghurnarasimhar.com/ website. I used to have a small pocket photo of this Lakshmi Narasimha for a long time before. Just thought I would create a small image for the benefit of everyone.

I would fondly recall the reason behind my pen-name over here attributing to this Lord.

In Sholinghur, it's ONLY Lord Yoga Narasimha Swamy, and NOT Lakshmee Nrisimhaswamy. This place is called Gatikachalam - Lord is said to have had a stop over here for one "Kadigai", measuring the time he stayed here.

Thank you Rengarajan. I intentionally used the term as 'Lakshmi Narasimhar
for the following reason:

(1) The word 'Narasimha' by itself is Ugram and He ought to be with the Lordess to ensure the world is not exposed to His fury. Furthermore the picture does have Thayar along with Him on His right

(2) If you closely observe this post also reflects a theory behind why I chose the pen name 'Lavanya Deepak'.

Neither me nor Him, IMHO, would let 'L' alone without 'D' and 'N' (where 'L' stands for Lakshmi/Lavanya and 'D' stands for Deepak/Narasimha).
