The Cosmos Doesn’t Need a Gavel: A Friday Reminder to the Ultimate Bench
The Cosmos Doesn’t Need a Gavel: A Friday Reminder to the Ultimate Bench
We live in an era where the word "Chief"—whether prefixing a Justice or a Minister—has been thoroughly decoupled from its original meaning. Once a title denoting ultimate accountability and moral weight, it has cheapened into a mere tool for ego-projection and the demand of unearned deference. When institutions wrap themselves in the arrogance of invincibility, they often forget that the higher the pedestal, the harder the cosmic correction.
The universe, however, has a flawless system of checks and balances.
There is an old Tamil proverb:
எளியாரை வலியார் வாட்டினால் வலியாரை தெய்வம் வாட்டும்
(If the mighty oppress the weak, the Divine will punish the mighty.)
But under the current cosmic administration, Shanidev seems to be serving up a redefined, beautifully ironic version:
எளியாரை வலியார் வாட்டினால் வலியாரை எலியாரே வாட்டுவார்
(If the mighty oppress the weak, the humble rodents/pests will dismantle the mighty.)
When those in high seats lose their empathy—going so far as to use derogatory language and treat the most vulnerable, voiceless community animal babies like disposable pests—the cosmic feedback loop activates. It doesn’t always arrive as a thunderbolt from the heavens. Sometimes, justice is delivered by the smallest, most insignificant disruptions hitting back at the arrogant. Shani ki Mahima Aparampar Hai. We can only hope this subtle taste of cosmic reality is just the beginning.
But while we appreciate the initial intervention, a gentle reminder is due to the Ultimate Judge. To borrow and twist Robert Frost’s timeless lines:
The woods are lovely, dark, and deep,
But there are miles to go before you sleep,
Shanidev, miles to go before you sleep.
The injustice in our system is deep-rooted, systemic, and utterly rotten. A singular, fleeting lesson isn't going to cleanse a machinery so deeply entrenched in its own hubris.
Given the sheer volume of pending moral backlogs and the absolute lack of accountability in our corridors of power, a temporary visit won't suffice. It might be time for Shanidev to permanently clear the backlog.
Dear Maharaj, it’s time to establish a permanent Extension Bench of Shanilok right here. The docket of arrogance is full, and the court of cosmic karma needs to stay in session. ⚖️🪐🐕
